Job Title: Health Safety Environment Coordinator
About the Position:
This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled professional to influence employees, contractors, and visitors on all health and safety matters.
* Communicate HSE requirements to subcontractors onsite.
* Review Subcontractor HSE Interview Questionnaires and verify their capability to deliver work tasks to agreed HSE standards.
* Report any key issues to the project leadership team and regional HSE management.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist in identifying key areas and develop HSE training needs analysis (safety and L&D supporters).
* Deliver training throughout the project (where client allows).
* Assist in incident investigations and report to appropriate personnel.
* Prepare project or workplace HSE inductions and prepare, conduct, and/or coordinate HSE training programs.
* Regularly review project HSE systems and plans against activity requirements.
Qualifications and Experience:
* Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety or equivalent.
* Cert IV in Health & Safety.
* Bachelor degree in Safety, Environment, Engineering, Project Management, or other associated disciplines.
* ISO45001 and/or ISO 14001 Lead Auditor Qualification.
* Previous experience as a HSE Practitioner in construction and engineering, heavy industry, or other high-risk industries.
* Knowledge of business administration.
* Capability of using HSE management and technique tools/software.
The successful candidate will be based on-site at the Goorambat East Solar Farm project location. Please note that this position is not eligible for FIFO arrangements.
