Temporary Finance Officer for State Government

Our State Government client is seeking support from an experienced Finance Officer. You will join a respected government agency committed to delivering high-quality services and supporting the community through effective financial management. This is a temporary 3-month contract.
Your new role
- Perform general administrative and filing duties to maintain accurate financial records and documentation.
- Assist with the preparation and coordination of budget submissions, ensuring compliance with departmental frameworks and timelines.
- Review financial submissions and reports for accuracy, consistency, and correct formatting prior to approval and lodgement.
- Support finance processes including data entry, reconciliations, and document control.
- Liaise with internal stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate financial information is provided.
What you'll need to succeed
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Experience in financial administration, budgeting, or related functions within a government or corporate environment.
- Ability to review and format documents to meet compliance and presentation standards.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and SAP experience
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
