SPG Drainage and Civil Pty Ltd – Karratha Industrial Estate WA
We are seeking an experienced Heavy Diesel Mechanic to join our team at SPG Drainage and Civil Pty Ltd based in Karratha Western Australia. This is a full-time position where you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of our road transport fleet of Kenworth, Western Star, DAF and Scania prime movers.
Maintenance and repairs on a variety of trailers and light vehicles.
FIFO or Residential roles available.
What you'll be doing
* Diagnose and repair issues with heavy diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics and electrical systems
* Carry out scheduled maintenance on our fleet of trucks, trailers and Toyota light vehicles
* Ensure all work is completed to a high standard and in compliance with safety regulations
* Maintain detailed records of all work performed
* Provide input on the purchase of new equipment and tools
What we're looking for
* Qualified Heavy Diesel Mechanic with a minimum of 5 years' experience
* Strong knowledge of the maintenance and repair of heavy diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics and electrical systems
* Ability to work independently, self‐managing – plan your working week, prioritising urgent repairs to keep the trucks moving
* Excellent problem‐solving and diagnostic skills
* Commitment to safety and quality workmanship
* Current driver's licence and your own tools
