Australian owned family business with over 70 years' experience in the FMCG industry. Seeking an experienced Purchasing Officer. Reporting to the Plant Manager this role will be responsible for all goods and parts purchasing.
The Role:
Management of invoices (Coding, checking etc)
Processing and monitoring component repairs
Update and maintain spare parts/suppliers list in database
Recommend the replenishment of inventory, as required by maintenance/production
Investigate and report discrepancies
Produce reports on stores system as required
Assisting with the procurement of commercial consumable goods
Processing parts Issue sheets
Regular stock checks/cycle counts
Source, select and maintain optimal stores and parts.
Maintain and update the spare parts system.
Capture completed work information to ensure parts issued parts are used.
Produce reports to management to plan efficiently.
3+ years' experience in working within FMCG desirable.
Previous experience in purchasing and inventory control.
Understanding of basic mechanical and electrical parts and components.
Mechanical or electrical background desirable but not essential.
