The Role

We are seeking a dedicated and innovative Woodwork Teacher to join our friendly team.

The successful applicant should ideally be confident teaching students across Years 7 to 10 in Wood Technology, including a Clontarf Academy class, as well as Years 11 and 12 General Materials Design and Technology. A strong focus will be placed on delivering relevant, engaging, and practical Woodwork programs aligned with the Western Australian Technologies curriculum.

As a skilled and reflective educator, you should ideally display a commitment to excellence in teaching and the ability to create inclusive learning environments that support a diverse range of student needs. The successful applicant will ideally be culturally responsive, trauma informed and committed to building high-expectation relationships that support positive student outcomes.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, along with the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, will be highly regarded. Applicants should also display a willingness to contribute to the broader life, values, and policies of the school community, engage in ongoing professional learning, and build positive partnerships with colleagues, parents, and external networks. Experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students would be highly regarded.
