About the Role
Raytheon Australia invites experienced B1 Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineers to join our Joint Adversarial Training & Testing Services (JATTS) Program in the Shoalhaven region near Nowra NSW.
As part of a highly modified special mission Learjet 35A aircraft team, you will provide operational training against live aerial opposing forces, airborne Electronic Warfare, and aerial targets for the Royal Australian Air Force, the Royal Australian Navy, and other Australian Defence assets.
Duties and Responsibilities
* Hold safety as a core value and contribute to the achievement of a zero‐harm and injury‐free setting through active participation in all relevant safety programs.
* Perform duties of a Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer within a CASA CAR30 Maintenance Organisation, delivering services under the CASA Aerial Work Category.
* Ensure aircraft maintenance, documentation and certification complies with the Raytheon Australia System of Maintenance and Engineering Procedures Manuals.
* Perform, implement and maintain any required shift/task handovers.
* Supervise maintenance personnel and support apprentices as needed.
* Maintain the general condition and upkeep of the hangar and workshop.
* Serve as the point of contact for work‐related phone calls while on duty.
* Deploy with aircraft to provide maintenance and logistics support both nationally and internationally.
* Perform any other duties as directed by the Raytheon Chief Maintenance Engineer.
Reporting Relationship
* The position reports directly to the Raytheon Australia Chief Maintenance Engineer.
Qualification Requirements
Essential:
* Experienced B1 Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer.
* If not type‐rated, available to complete the Learjet 35/36 type course (type course provided by Raytheon if required).
Desirable:
* Current Part 66 B1 licence Learjet 35/36 type rating.
* Current First Aid Certificate.
* Forklift licence.
Successful candidates must obtain and maintain a Negative Vetting Level2 Security Clearance from the Australian Government Security Vetting Agency (AGSVA).
