Registered Nurse - Emergency Care CentreApply now Job no: 504055Work type: PermanentLocation: MackayCategories: Registered Nurse/MidwifeAbout the roleThe Mater Private Hospital Mackay is currently seeking multiple dedicated and experienced Registered Nurses to join their team in the Emergency Care Centre on a permanent, full-time basis.The Mater Private Hospital Mackay Emergency Care Centre is open from 8am to 10pm, 7 days a week and is a fee-for-service emergency centre run by experienced emergency doctors and nursing staff, providing both adult and paediatric emergency services.Mater Private Hospital Mackay has been delivering exceptional clinical and pastoral care since 1927.
Located on the northern bank of the Pioneer River since 2003, our modern 105-bed facility includes five operating theatres, a fully equipped day surgery unit, and a range of specialist services.We are seeking dynamic and adaptable Registered Nurses who will be motivated by a challenging and fast paced environment.Key responsibilities and duties include:Achieving optimal patient outcomes throughout the patient journey and continuum of careDemonstrating exceptional clinical expertise and knowledge of procedures and the management of patients seeking outstanding careImplementing strategies to ensure that quality and risk management are integrated into service provisionWorking collaboratively with the nursing team to provide exceptional care every timeMaintaining current knowledge and skills to ensure continued professional growthAbout youYou will enjoy working in a busy and rewarding setting where you can become part of a team of professionals who take pride in providing the highest levels of patient care.The successful applicants will have:Currently AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse (no restrictions)Previous experience in emergency care nursing would be highly regardedExcellent interpersonal, communication and clinical problem-solving skillsDemonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary teamDemonstrated commitment to continued quality improvement and best practice principlesMater is Queensland's largest not-for-profit healthcare provider, delivering exceptional care to nearly 700,000 patients each year across 11 (soon to be 12) hospitals.
