Job Summary
In this Line 2 role, you will partner with the business providing pragmatic, independent risk and compliance advice, strengthening frameworks and ensuring we operate within our risk appetite and regulatory obligations. You will bring your subject matter expertise to identify, assess, mitigate and report on risk and compliance matters while maintaining a practical appreciation for the commercial needs of the business.
Responsibilities
* Provide independent risk and compliance advice across all risk classes, supporting robust, risk‐based decision making at Executive and Board level.
* Strengthen and enhance risk and compliance frameworks, including the development and embedding of policies across the Group.
* Partner with business stakeholders to drive a strong risk culture and support the ongoing maturity of the three lines of accountability model.
* Support governance outcomes through reporting to Executives, Boards and Risk Committees.
* Deliver training and guidance to uplift risk and compliance capability across the organisation.
* Lead, coach and mentor team members, building capability and ensuring high performance aligned to team and business objectives.
Requirements
* 3–5 years' experience in risk, compliance or governance roles within financial services or technology.
* Strong understanding of regulatory requirements across platforms, managed investment schemes, MDAs and superannuation.
* Experience working in complex or fast‐paced environments, with the ability to manage competing priorities.
* Demonstrated experience leading and developing team members, with the ability to coach, mentor and build high‐performing, outcome‐focused teams.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook).
* Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and build effective relationships.
* Highly analytical with strong problem‐solving capability and attention to detail.
* Able to work independently, adapt to changing environments, and deliver quality outcomes within agreed timeframes.
