Tenure: Two-year Fixed Term Full Time

Required Qualifications: Relevant tertiary qualification and/or Certificate or Diploma in Business, Project Management, Education, Health or Community Services. Original certified copies of qualification must be supplied.

Purpose of the Position

The Project Officer supports the Centre of Excellence by coordinating health‐related projects focused on supporting training delivery and other initiatives related to Centre of Excellence. The role is responsible for planning, implementing, monitoring, and reporting on project activities, and for building strong collaborative relationships across internal teams, stakeholders, and communities to ensure high‐quality outcomes. The Centre of Excellence for Regional and Remote Essential Care Services (CoE RRECS) aims to retain and increase the number of rural and remote community members employed in health, community services and other areas of critical need.

Duties

* Coordinate, implement, and evaluate health-related projects including health promotion, education, research, and quality improvement initiatives.
* Develop and maintain productive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support project success and accountability.
* Participate in service and program mapping activities to identify system gaps and use data analysis to inform improvements.
* Prepare high quality reports, briefings and business plan inputs aligned with organisational objectives, policy frameworks, and legislative requirements.
* Follow defined RTO and service quality standards, work health and safety policies and procedures relating to the work being undertaken in order to ensure high-quality, safe services and workplaces.
* Maintain accurate project documentation and records.
* Foster a positive workplace culture through exemplary leadership practices and role modelling behaviour.
* Perform reasonable duties, as directed by line manager.

Selection Criteria

* Demonstrated experience in coordinating, developing, implementing, and evaluating health-related projects to improve service delivery.
* Proven ability to analyse data, identify service gaps, and apply evidence-based approaches to inform strategic planning and continuous improvement in the health care, training or workforce sectors.
* Strong ability to build and maintain effective relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders to ensure project success and accountability.
* High-level written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare complex reports, briefings, and deliver presentations to varied audiences.
* Demonstrated understanding of cross-cultural service provision and ability to work respectfully and effectively with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and remote communities.
* Proven capacity to work independently with minimal supervision while contributing collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams to achieve outcomes in complex and remote environments.
