Job Title: Space Weather Expert
About the Role
This role involves providing specialist technical support for space weather and satellite observing equipment, including installation, preventive maintenance, repairs and configuration audits.
Key Responsibilities
* Investigate and report on equipment technical performance
* Identify trends or issues, provide specialist advice regarding performance improvement and quality assurance
* Undertake development, evaluation and implementation of hardware and software solutions and for current and future capabilities
* Prepare specifications and technical reports and participate in tender technical evaluations
* Provide technical support for equipment upgrade and renewal projects
Requirements
* An engineering diploma or comparable qualifications in a technical field (electronics or telecommunications or similar)
* 5-10 years in technical/engineering experience OR other comparable qualifications, which are appropriate to the duties
