ADF Health Services provides integrated healthcare services to Australian Defence Force (ADF) personnel across Australia.

About the Role
In this role you will work as part of a multidisciplinary team within a health-centre setting supporting the diverse mental-health needs of military members.
Referrals come from a variety of sources – the member, medical team and Command – offering diversity in presentations and support requests.
The support you will offer starts with initial intake and assessment, with flexibility to accommodate presenting need.
Responsibilities
Conduct initial intake and assessment of Defence members.
Use psychometric tools and engage in evidence-based treatment.
Manage caseload, including oversight and case management of externally referred cases.
Provide internal treatment to Defence members.
Manage crisis presentations, conduct risk assessment and develop risk-management plans in coordination with a multidisciplinary team.
Qualifications
Highest levels of personal integrity and ethical behaviour.
Current unconditional and unrestricted registration as a Psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
Minimum 2 years of postgraduate experience in mental health within a primary or specialist setting, with comprehensive assessment and delivery of evidence-based 'Focused Psychological Strategies' as defined under the Medicare Schedule.
Recent participation in Continuous Professional Development (CPD) activities in accordance with AHPRA.
Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (HLTAID009) certification.
Knowledge of relevant State/Territory policies and national standards governing mental-health practice (desirable).
Knowledge of the ADF Mental Health and Wellbeing Strategy ********* (desirable).
About Williamtown Health Centre
Williamtown Health Centre is located 30km north of Newcastle at RAAF Base Williamtown, Australia's premier fighter-pilot training base.
The base employs over 4,500 people.
The health centre provides primary medical, aviation medical, outpatient, dental, nursing, physiotherapy, mental-health and pharmaceutical services.
Standard operating hours are generally 07:*****:30 Mon-Fri, depending on role requirements.
