Tony White Group Tasmania is seeking a reliable and safety-focused Heavy Combination (HC) Truck Driver to join our Launceston Dealerships team, transporting vehicles between our dealership sites and vehicle delivery centres.
This role offers flexibility, with the option to be engaged on either a part-time or full-time basis (38 hours per week), depending on the successful candidate's preference.
About the Role
You will be responsible for the safe, efficient, and professional transport of new and used vehicles across our dealership network. The role involves multiple daily runs, primarily within standard business hours, with minimal overtime and some statewide travelbetween major regions.
As driving requirements may not always fill a full-time schedule, candidates seeking full-time employment may also be required to undertake additional support duties such as vehicle washing/detailing, accessory fitting, and general vehicle ferrying duties between sites (driving).
Key Responsibilities
Operate articulated vehicle carrier to transport vehicles safely and efficiently
Conduct multiple daily pick-ups and deliveries across dealership sites
Safely load and unload vehicles using correct procedures and equipment
Complete pre-start checks and report maintenance issues
Maintain accurate trip logs, delivery records, and compliance documentation
Ensure compliance with road transport laws and fatigue management requirements
Represent the business professionally with customers and stakeholders
Support yard, pre-delivery and logistics operations as required
About You
You are a professional driver who takes pride in safety, presentation, and reliability. You have an unblemished driving record, enjoy working as part of a team and are comfortable with a hands-on role.
Current and valid HC (Heavy Combination) licence
Demonstrated experience operating articulated trucks (vehicle transport preferred)
Strong understanding of load restraint and vehicle handling procedures
Knowledge of fatigue management and transport compliance
Strong attention to detail and ability to complete documentation accurately
Physically fit and capable of loading/unloading vehicles
A proactive approach to safety and risk awareness
Professional communication skills and customer-focused attitude
