About the role
We are looking for a highly motivated dental assistant. Whilst experience is preferable, we can provide on the job training for the right candidate, who is genuinely looking for a long‑term career in the dental industry. You will be part of our 9‑day fortnight trial giving you one day off every 2 weeks. 9‑day fortnight hours: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday 08:00am – 17:00pm, Wednesday 08:00am – 16:45pm. The Oral Health Service in Western NSW Local Health District has a supportive and friendly culture. The Dubbo Community Dental Clinic has 6 chairs and provides outreach services to rural communities which may require the occasional overnight stays. The clinic consists of Dental Assistants, Dental Officers and Oral Health Therapists. This position provides chairside assistance to Dental Clinicians and other support to the dental team, including instrument reprocessing, maintaining infection control standards and reception/administration duties. Orientation will be provided. The successful applicant will be provided on the job training and regular check‑ins with their line manager. Appraisals and goal settings are conducted annually.
