Eligibility Specialist – Responsibilities
As an Eligibility Specialist, you will support Case Managers with technical advice on initial and subsequent liability determinations. You will ensure quality and ethical liability decisions are made within prescribed timeframes under relevant NSW legislation and contribute to training of Case Managers.
Other responsibilities include:
* Advise and provide technical support in initial and full liability determinations.
* Support procurement of medical and factual investigations to determine liability.
* Review and analyze case documentation, including medical and factual reports.
* Assist in identification of third‐party recoveries.
* Oversee and attend matters at the Personal Injury Commission.
* Coach and mentor case management personnel and collaborate with specialist support hubs.
* Participate in key business projects and initiatives, such as learning and development and legislation reform implementation.
Qualifications
* Significant experience in technical or case management roles within a workers' compensation setting, with demonstrated experience in determination or liability.
* Exceptional time management and organisational skills.
* Excellent attention to detail.
* Highly developed communication skills, able to engage and coach at all levels.
* A strategic mindset and approach to work.
* A strong sense of team and collaboration.
* A resilient attitude.
