About the role
We are searching for a proactive and passionate hospitality all‐rounder to join our team at the YHA Blue Mountains. The Guest Services All‐Rounder will gain exposure to all operational aspects and is a part‐time position with a minimum of 15 hours per week.
Responsibilities
* Reception – Welcome guests, ensure seamless check‐in, and accurately record accounts and documentation.
* Guest Activities – Create, promote and plan activities to keep guests engaged and entertained.
* Housekeeping – Maintain the property and guest rooms to the highest standards, manage laundry, and handle maintenance or safety issues efficiently.
* Food & Beverage – Uphold food hygiene and compliance, prepare and serve food and beverages, and perform coffee‐making/barista duties.
* Health & Safety – Adhere to all YHA policies and procedures to ensure safety for yourself and others.
Qualifications
* Exceptionally good interpersonal and communication skills.
* Experience in customer service, hospitality or a similar role.
* Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
* Experience with Microsoft Office and reservation/POS or booking systems.
* Flexibility to work a rotating roster, including nights, weekends, public holidays and overnight shifts.
* RSA certification is essential; a First Aid certificate is desirable.
* Knowledge of and passion for the local area and the travel/tourism industry (desired).
* You must be 18 years of age or over.
