About the role:
We are currently seeking a motivated and customer-oriented professional to join us as a customer experience officer and fleet detailer. In this all-rounder role, you will be undertaking several different tasks required in a car rental operation.
The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic about travel, possess excellent interpersonal skills, and understand the significance of delivering top-notch customer service. Full training will be provided to set you up for success.
Key Attributes and Experience:
1. Great interpersonal skills, ability to connect with customers and a positive attitude
2. Ability to provide exceptional customer service and experience
3. Computer literacy skills required – Microsoft suite and emails
4. The ability to work alone and as part of a team
5. Flexibility to work on a rotating shift roster - 7-day shift work, including weekends and public holidays
6. Experience in vehicle detailing or cleaning (preferred but not essential)
7. Local knowledge of Tasmania (preferred but not essential)
The main duties include:
Managing and supporting reservations
* Speaking with customers face-to-face, over the phone and via email to manage and encourage bookings
* Keeping an up-to-date register of bookings
Handling customer pick-up
* Undertaking the pick-up paperwork for customer bookings, including explaining the rental agreement
* Selling additional over-the-counter rental products
* Picking up customers from the airport
Handling vehicle returns
* Inspecting and recording vehicle damage
* In some instances, dropping customers off at the airport
Fleet Management and detailing
* Ensuring vehicles are cleaned, presented to the correct standard, and ready for the next customer
* Dropping off and picking up vehicles for maintenance
* Maintaining a clean and safe working area

* There may be other related duties that need to be undertaken as part of the role.
