## Community Development OfficerApplylocations: Capalabatime type: Full timeposted on: Posted 2 Days Agojob requisition id: JR102029**Your Role as Community Development Officer**The Community Development Officer embeds headspace services within the local community by building partnerships, delivering events and programs, and promoting early help-seeking for young people. The role also supports advisory groups to contribute to governance and service development, while working collaboratively with staff and stakeholders to drive effective, community-focused youth engagement.In this role you will:* Lead the recruitment of young people and their support networks to be involved in the headspace Young Peoples Advisory Committee (YPAC), and Family & Friends Reference Group (F&FRG).* Provide youth-friendly orientation, training, and support for young people, and family and friends.* Develop materials (e.g. Welcome Packs) for orientation to headspace WMQ for young people and their support networks and improve centre accessibility.* Pursue opportunities to form strategic partnerships with other local community organisations to provide holistic wraparound care to young people accessing the services.* Lead the planning, development, and delivery of consistent, evidence-based community education regarding youth mental wellbeing using innovative and creative approaches.* Develop and deliver events tailored for target groups to deliver key messages (e.g. mental health literacy, reduced stigma, anti-discrimination, early help seeking).**What We Offer*** **Salary Packaging:** As a not‐for‐profit employer, we offer generous salary packaging benefits that help maximise your take‐home pay.
