Job Description
As a Census Engagement Manager, you will play a critical role in supporting people and communities from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds to participate in the Census.
The successful candidate will have experience engaging with culturally and linguistically diverse communities and a sound understanding of the issues impacting these communities.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* Experience working with culturally and linguistically diverse communities and knowledge of issues impacting these communities.
* Demonstrated experience/understanding working with people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds.
* Ability to connect and engage with a range of community organisations and service providers communicating effectively and developing strong working relationships.
* Ability to present information to groups of people through public speaking.
* Self-motivated and adaptable, capable of working independently and making informed decisions while respecting cultural and community dynamics.
* Demonstrated sound local area knowledge.
* Ability to lead and manage a team in a busy, high-volume environment operating with tight deadlines, while maintaining cultural safety and responsiveness.
* Ability to competently use information technology such as mobile devices and web applications.
