About the role
We are looking for a Retail Sales Representative for our Mackay team on a permanent full‐time basis. As a Retail Sales Representative, you will support the branch's retail team, delivering expert product knowledge, excellent customer service, and logistics support for the safe receiving and dispatching of stock.
Responsibilities
* Build and maintain strong relationships with clients by recommending Elders products and services to enhance their business growth.
* Proactively source new business opportunities in the cane and pasture sector.
* Support inventory management, including stocktakes and safe dispatch of rural products.
* Process sales transactions and prepare sales quotes for clients.
* Provide a complete delivery service, ensuring timely and efficient distribution of rural products.
* Assist with storage, handling, and receiving of stock, adhering to safety standards.
About You
Thrive in a collaborative working environment and enjoy working as part of a team. You are passionate about agriculture and making a positive impact for clients and the community.
Technical knowledge of seasonal and rural products and a proven track record in sales are required. Strong retail skills and the ability to deliver high levels of customer service and cultivate relationships with current and prospective clients are essential.
Experience in disciplines such as cane, crop, weed, disease, or pasture is desirable but not essential.
Hold a valid driver's licence. A forklift licence is preferred and training will be provided.
