Radio Frequency Technologist - (Must have Positive Vetting Clearance)We are seeking an experienced Radio Frequency Technologist to work on a long-term contract with a Federal Government Client, involving RF hardware design, software configuration, testing, and systems engineering documentation.Location: Canberra (Onsite). Candidates must be based in Canberra.Estimated start date: Friday, 01 August 2025.Required SkillsDESN 4: Design system components using modelling techniques, evaluate design options, create design views, model and simulate system behaviour, produce detailed specifications, and review designs.RFEN 4: Investigate and resolve system faults, reconfigure equipment, specify RF devices, define communication protocols, and optimize performance.TEST 3: Design test cases, participate in reviews, conduct exploratory testing, prepare test data, automate tests, execute tests, log defects, and analyze results.Experience with Coaxial, Optical, and Signalling cabling.Experience in Satellite communication and RFoIP technologies.Electrical Trade Certificate.Knowledge of ARPANSA RF Standard.ResponsibilitiesDesign, integrate, test, and document engineering subsystems.Plan and execute testing procedures, produce technical documentation.Use electronic test equipment for RF systems and components.Visa Status and Security ClearanceMust be an Australian Citizen.Must have Positive Vetting Clearance.Additional InformationSeniority level: Mid-Senior level.Employment type: Contract.Job function: Information Technology.Industry: Information Services.
