About the role
The Social Worker / Mental Health Professional plays a critical role in delivering culturally safe, community-based mental health and social support services to Aboriginal individuals, families and community members across the Gascoyne region. The position is responsible for conducting comprehensive psychosocial assessments, developing care plans, providing therapeutic interventions, crisis response, and coordinating wrap‐around support for clients with complex and high‐risk needs. Working within a multidisciplinary primary healthcare setting, the role strengthens integration between mental health, social services and general practice to improve holistic health outcomes.
This position also builds and maintains strong partnerships with local government and non‐government agencies, ensuring clients can access appropriate services, advocacy and continuity of care.

Experience and qualifications required
* Relevant tertiary qualification in Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, or related field
* Current registration in Western Australia (where applicable)
* Experience working with Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander clients.
* Strong knowledge of community mental health principles and the Mental Health Act 2014
* Demonstrated ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team.
* Unrestricted "C" Class Driver's Licence
* Ability to obtain National Police Clearance and Working with Children Check
