Hunter Valley, NSW | Flexible VMO Opportunity
We are currently partnering with a modern regional hospital in the Hunter Valley to recruit General Practitioners with Emergency Medicine experience to join a high-performing Emergency Department as Visiting Medical Officers.
This is a great opportunity to build a long-term Emergency Medicine career within a large, contemporary district hospital (Tier 2 facility) with approximately 300+ beds, servicing a rapidly growing regional population.
The Emergency Department is a busy, well-supported unit that:
* Sees approximately 150 patients per day, with around one-third paediatric presentations
* Maintains an admission rate of 20–22% across multiple specialties
* Acts as a referral hub for several surrounding rural hospitals
* Focuses strongly on patient flow, clinical decision-making and safe care pathways
* Operates with a collaborative senior medical team and structured supervision model

Requirements
* MBBS or equivalent with current AHPRA registration
* Fellowship of RACGP (FRACGP) or equivalent
* Experience or strong interest in Emergency Medicine
* Completion of, or willingness to undertake, Emergency Life Support training
* Commitment to clinical excellence, teamwork and ongoing professional development
