Lead Automation Specialist
We are seeking a seasoned automation professional to lead and optimize control systems at our Perth site.

The Control Systems Engineer will develop and deliver high-quality SCADA applications including scripting, HMI design, database integration, and commissioning support, working closely with other control systems and automation engineers.
The division supports existing operational assets (Port, Rail, and Minesite), Non-Process Infrastructure, new greenfield developments, decarbonisation and energy projects.

What We Need From You:
* Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics, Control Systems, Mechatronics, or a related field
* 5-10 years of proven experience in control systems engineering, with hands-on expertise in SCADA development and programming
* Proficiency in SCADA scripting, including Python, Perspective/Vision modules, SQL database integration, and designing dashboards/HMIs
* Strong knowledge of PLC programming with systems such as GE, Emerson, Siemens, or equivalent
* Experience with industrial communication protocols such as MQTT, Profinet, Modbus, and Ethernet
* Familiarity with programming languages including Structured Text, Ladder Logic, Function Block, C#, VB, or Python
* Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
* Exceptional communication and teamwork abilities
Other Requirements:
* Must hold a valid National Police Clearance
* Availability to commence on a preferred date with a 12-month contract
* Ability to work on-site at the Perth location with a roster of 5:2, 9-hour shifts
