Job Description
We are seeking an Environmental Services Assistant to join our team. This role involves maintaining high standards of cleanliness, ensuring all equipment is cleaned and stored properly, performing laundry services, and working in a friendly and supportive manner.
The successful candidate will be punctual, reliable, and have a commitment to genuine customer service. Previous experience in a hospital environment is not essential but excellent interpersonal skills with a strong customer focus are required.
Key responsibilities include:
* Maintaining high standards of cleanliness throughout the hospital
* Ensuring all equipment is cleaned, restocked, and stored properly
* Performing laundry services including washing, folding, and transporting laundered goods where required
* Working in a friendly and supportive manner at all times
* Maintaining effective communication networks with nursing staff and other stakeholders to achieve quality clinical outcomes
Requirements
Applicants must be able to provide a National Police Check conducted within the previous 12 months. In some cases, a Working-With-Children check and proof of immunisation against infectious diseases may also be required.
