Feed Operator Role
The Feed Operator plays a pivotal role in the daily operations of a feedlot environment.
* Conducts pre-start inspections of all machinery to ensure safe operation and adherence to safety protocols.
* Reports any mechanical faults or discrepancies to the supervisor for prompt resolution.
* Operates loaders to clean pens, load trucks, and perform associated tasks in a manner that ensures efficient workflow and minimizes downtime.
* Operates feed trucks to roll out feeding schedules while maintaining a focus on timely delivery and optimal feeding strategies.
* Maintains a safe work environment through effective risk management and implementation of injury prevention measures.
The ideal candidate will possess experience operating heavy machinery such as trucks, front-end loaders, bobcats, and tractors. They must also demonstrate ability to work autonomously and collaboratively as part of a team, showcasing strong work ethic, effective communication skills, and adaptability in a dynamic work environment.
