Job Description
This is an opportunity to architect the digital backbone of a major transformation initiative. You will operate at the precise intersection of strategy and execution, taking high-level business goals and translating them into the concrete logical and physical designs that drive project success. We are looking for a technologist who thrives on complexity—someone ready to design across application, data, infrastructure, and networking layers to build solutions that are as robust as they are innovative.
You will tackle the challenges of the modern Hybrid Cloud landscape, navigating SaaS, Azure, and On-Prem environments to create seamless integrations. Your expertise will be crucial in producing documentation and definitive High-Level Designs that set the technical standard for the project. This is about more than just functionality; it is about championing security and compliance, ensuring every Interface Control Document and system specification adheres to rigorous architecture frameworks and future-proofs the client's ecosystem.
Collaboration is the heartbeat of this role. You will partner dynamically with offshore systems architects to create a unified delivery force, ensuring that the vision you set onshore is executed flawlessly by the wider team. As a visible technical leader in a multi-vendor environment, you will have the autonomy to drive decisions and manage stakeholder expectations. Qualifications
Deep Technical Experience:
Experience in a similar role as a Tech Lead or Architect in system-level technical design and integration, with a specific focus on complex enterprise environments.
Hybrid Cloud Mastery:
Advanced knowledge of Hybrid Cloud architectures (SaaS, Azure, On-Premises), including network infrastructure, integration patterns (APIs/Microservices), and legacy modernisation.
Commercial Documentation:
Proven ability to produce technical documentation, including technical schedules, and solution specifications for tenders.
Artefact Excellence:
Expert proficiency in creating and owning the lifecycle of critical design artefacts, specifically High-Level Designs (HLD), Low-Level Designs (LLD), and Interface Control Documents (ICDs).
Security by Design:
Strong practical application of cybersecurity standards (e.g., ACSC Essential Eight, NIST, ISO *****) to ensure all designs are secure and compliant.
Onshore/Offshore Collaboration:
Demonstrated success acting as the onshore technical lead, working hand-in-hand with offshore teams to drive development, QA deliverables, and maintain design integrity.
Consulting & Leadership:
Exceptional communication skills with the ability to manage C-level stakeholders, lead technical decision-making in multi-vendor environments, and mentor technical teams.
