Job Title: Ventilation Specialist
We are seeking a highly skilled Ventilation Specialist to join our team at a leading gold producer.
About the Role:
* The Ventilation Specialist ensures sufficient ventilation is supplied to all underground mining areas across the operation.
Key responsibilities include:
* Conducting primary and secondary ventilation surveys as required.
* Maintaining Ventsim models for each mine site and completing ventilation planning for Life of Mine (LOM) requirements.
* Developing and maintaining ventilation plans and registers.
* Managing ventilation contractors and fan systems.
* Collaborating with the engineering team on shared responsibilities.
* Demonstrating behaviours aligned with safety principles.
Requirements:
* Solid analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Tertiary qualifications in Mining Engineering.
* 2+ year's experience working as a Ventilation Engineer.
* Proven experience using Ventsim modelling software.
