Strategic Account Manager | Government & Public Safety
This is not a generic enterprise sales role. This is an opportunity to take ownership of some of the most strategically significant public safety accounts in New South Wales, representing a globally recognised technology and solutions vendor whose platforms are already embedded at the heart of mission-critical emergency services infrastructure.
Our client is a US-headquartered, NYSE-listed technology leader with a long-standing presence across Australian Government, emergency services and critical infrastructure. Their solutions support the agencies and first responders that millions of Australians rely on every day.
The role will take direct ownership of four major NSW Government and public safety relationships, including police, fire, rural fire and emergency services agencies.
These are established, high-value, executive-level relationships. The opportunity is not to introduce an unknown brand, but to deepen trusted partnerships, expand the technology footprint, and lead complex strategic account growth across a mission-critical portfolio.
The opportunity:
You will own the full customer lifecycle across these key accounts, from strategic account planning through to executive engagement, tender response, proposal development, contract negotiation and long-term relationship growth.
This is a direct sales role. No channel layer. No MSP intermediary. No reseller model.
You will work closely with senior government stakeholders, technical teams, pre-sales, delivery and support functions to identify, shape and convert new opportunities across a broad and continually expanding technology portfolio.
The role requires the commercial drive of a hunter, the patience and discipline of a strategic account manager, and the emotional intelligence to operate in environments where trust, process and credibility matter.
We are looking for someone who brings:
* Proven success selling directly into Government, Public Safety, emergency services, critical infrastructure or similarly complex enterprise environments
* A background in enterprise technology, telecommunications, critical communications, networking, software, video, voice or related solutions
* The ability to engage credibly at Commissioner, CIO, C-level and senior executive level
* Strong enterprise solution sales capability, with the discipline to manage complex quarterly revenue commitments
* Experience leading virtual teams through influence rather than authority
* High emotional intelligence, commercial maturity and the ability to operate in a process-driven, high-accountability environment
Radio, critical communications or public safety technology experience would be highly regarded, but is not essential.
The package:
The remuneration package is structured to reflect the seniority and strategic weight of the mandate, with a highly competitive Sydney enterprise market base salary, generous OTE and incentives designed to reward outperformance across a high-value account portfolio.
This is a permanent, full-time senior individual contributor role with high autonomy, significant account ownership and genuine career-defining scope.
Confidential enquiries:
This search is being managed exclusively by Warrell & Reid on a confidential retained basis.
If you have the background, credibility and appetite to manage relationships where the stakes are genuinely significant, I would welcome a confidential conversation.
