James Sheahan is seeking a qualified, passionate Science / Agriculture leader who strives to lead our highly successful Science / Agriculture department, ensuring high-quality education that maximises learning outcomes for all students.
Job Position: Permanent Full-Time Teaching Position + Coordinator 2 Allowance (Initial 2-year contract)
Commencing: Term 3 2026
About You
We are seeking someone able to meet the following selection criteria:
* Ability to lead a KLA team and to successfully liaise with students, staff, parents and relevant organisations regarding Science/Agriculture curriculum and classroom
* Commitment to Catholic education and a clear understanding of the ethos of Catholic School
* Demonstrated ability to promote a culture of effort, engagement and excellence through the development of a positive, supportive student environment and related structures
* Developed understanding of a Professional Learning Community mindset and commitment to evidence-driven improvement for all students
* Qualifications and experience in teaching a range of Junior and Senior HSIE Courses
* Willingness to undertake administrative, curriculum and supervisory duties associated with the position
