Job Title: Electrical Supervisor
About the Role:
This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires expertise in electrical supervision. As an Electrical Supervisor, you will lead support of basic startup specialist duties, ensuring technical direction to subcontractors, coordinating field inspections, and tracking quantities.
The successful candidate will have excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to train and consult with colleagues. They will be responsible for planning and scheduling commissioning and startup activities, preparing work packages, and conducting quality control checks.
In this role, you will be working on a 2&1 FIFO Roster at our Karratha site, with opportunities to contribute to the success of the project team.
Main Responsibilities:
* General Duties:
o Liaise with colleagues and subcontractors to ensure smooth coordination of commissioning and startup activities.
o Plan and schedule CSU execution activities, including resource requirements and sequence of tasks.
* Work Planning & Packaging:
o Prepare Startup Work Packages and Test Work Packages for assigned areas of responsibility.
o Collaborate with construction teams to ensure effective turnover of components and systems.
* Turnover Coordination:
o Participate in Construction to CSU turnover walkdowns, identifying potential issues and implementing solutions.
o Interface with Field Engineers as required to support component/system turnover.
* Material Management & Quantities:
o Initiate requisitions for field purchases and prepare quantity take-offs of field-purchased material and equipment.
o Track field purchases and other purchases required for CSU using procurement systems or database programs.
* Quality Control:
o Conduct walk-downs to validate system configuration against design specifications.
o Perform testing of equipment to ensure conformance with specifications and compliance with test procedures.
* Environmental Safety & Health (ES&H):
o Elevate ES&H issues in the field, taking corrective action to prevent incidents.
Requirements:
We are seeking a qualified Electrical Supervisor with a Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) and 8-10 years of relevant experience, or 12-14 years of relevant work experience.
