Job Description
As a Kitchen Assistant, you will support the Kitchen Team Leader, Cook, and Site Manager in delivering a high-quality catering service to our residents. You'll assist with food preparation and kitchen hygiene, ensuring our consumers enjoy nutritious and well-presented meals.
What You'll be doing:
* Assisting with meal preparation and for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks
* Delivering meals to dining areas and resident rooms
* Operating dishwashers and maintaining kitchen cleanliness
* Labelling food, rotating stock, and supporting food safety compliance
* Supporting the Kitchen Team Leader and Cook with daily tasks
* Creating a positive dining experience that supports social engagement and wellbeing
What We're Looking For:
* A proactive, team-oriented attitude with a passion for aged care
* Ability to follow food safety procedures and maintain hygiene standards
* Experience in hospitality or aged care (preferred but not essential)
* Availability across weekdays, weekends, and public holidays during December and January
Desired Skills and Experience
* Police Check
* Pre-employment medical assessment
* Prior experience in a similar role in an aged care setting is highly desirable.
