About the Role
The State Fleet Sales Manager develops and executes the State Fleet Sales Plan in line with the National Fleet strategy, ensuring regional KPIs are met.
The role drives a cross-functional sales approach across the Mitsubishi dealer network, fleet management organisations, industry associations and partners, whilst also managing a strategically important B2B customer portfolio to achieve mutual growth outcomes.
In this role, you will:
Actively facilitate new business development across strike-zone segments ensuring activity is accurately logged in MMAL CRM platforms and nurtured through to decision stage
Prepare proposals and tenders in a collaborative manner with enabling functions ensuring compliant submissions that deliver value for MMAL and prospects alike
Position the Mitsubishi Motors brand favourably across all 'true fleet' B2B segments to maximise new business opportunities profitably
You will achieve annual state fleet sales targets and expand the regional fleet book through new business development, while also positioning the MMAL Fleet Brand around key customer benefits to grow our strategic customer share.
You will lead multiple channels and collaborate with regional sales teams to activate fleet programs and drive results.
Essential Skills and Experience
Tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline, or equivalent skills, knowledge and experience
Proficiency in driving new business development in a B2B context, both directly and through team leadership
Skilled in applying the 'Find, Win, Grow, Keep' sales methodology, supported by SPIN selling or similar frameworks
Demonstrated ability to build and leverage internal and external relationships to effectively network client organisations and drive organic growth
Experienced in strategic account management within relationship-based B2B sales environments
Advanced capabilities in relationship management, selling, interpersonal engagement, negotiation, presentation, and written communication
Strong influencing skills across diverse stakeholder groups
Highly organised and structured in managing staff, accounts, clients, and territory
Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written
