Job Overview
The Communications Officer will deliver coordinated communications that promote Peel ArtsConnect's programs, events and advocacy initiatives. This includes producing clear and engaging content for digital platforms, newsletters and promotional materials that reflect Peel's diverse and vibrant creative landscape.
Responsibilities
* Oversee media and public relations activities, including preparing press releases, coordinating interviews and developing media resources.
* Manage digital channels, maintain content schedules, monitor performance and refine audience engagement to increase visibility and reach.
* Ensure inclusive and culturally sensitive storytelling, representing Peel's Indigenous, multicultural, and emerging arts communities.
* Collaborate with artists and cultural leaders to support and amplify community‐led initiatives.
* Monitor audience response and public perception to guide messaging and outreach, ensuring Peel ArtsConnect remains accessible, relevant and responsive.
