* Salary: $74,979 - $77,768, plus superannuation
* Work Pattern: 9‐day fortnight
Overview
We are seeking two experienced Civil Maintenance Workers to maintain the City's infrastructure, including roads, footpaths and other public assets.
Key Responsibilities
* Perform drainage works including trenching, pipe laying, backfilling, and compaction.
* Operate plant on drainage construction sites.
* Carry out civil maintenance tasks such as kerbing, paving, concrete laying, reticulation, and bitumen repair.
Qualifications and Experience
* Current unrestricted HR (Heavy Rigid) class driver's licence.
* Current Construction Induction Training card (White Card).
* Basic Worksite Traffic Management accreditation, and ability to acquire accreditation in Traffic Control.
* Relevant experience in a civil maintenance environment.
* Experience in trenching, pipe laying, backfilling, and compaction operations.
* Experience in the safe and accurate operation of plant on drainage construction sites.
* Competency with concrete cutters, foot stamper, plate compactor, road‐making plant, and general construction tools and equipment.
* Knowledge of kerbing, paving, concrete laying, reticulation and bitumen repair techniques, methods and quality control procedures.
* Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, plans and specifications.
Additional Information
* Salary commences at step 1, with potential progression within the range based on skills and experience.
* Incremental progression typically occurs at the conclusion of each 12‐month period, in accordance with the Industrial Agreement.
* All participants will undergo a full pre‐employment medical including drug and alcohol testing.
