Overview

The Role

This exciting opportunity is based in Hobart, providing the chance to contribute to a dynamic team in one of Tasmania's most desirable locations.

Responsibilities

* Lead the planning, implementation, and evaluation of clinical governance across Population Screening & Cancer Prevention (PSCP) programs, ensuring maintaining and improving the quality and safety of patient care, and alignment with national accreditation standards, state policies, and organisational priorities.
* Oversee accreditation processes for BreastScreen Tasmania and Diagnostic Breast Imaging, ensuring compliance with National Accreditation Standards (NAS), continuous quality improvement, and a strong focus on patient safety, consumer experience, and service excellence.
* Provide expert advice and leadership to managers, clinical leads, and multidisciplinary teams on quality improvement, patient safety, incident management, consumer engagement, and service redesign.

Qualifications / Requirements

* Significant recent experience in complex healthcare settings and demonstrated expertise in clinical governance, patient safety, clinical risk management, quality improvement, and complaints management.
* Demonstrated experience leading quality improvement and patient safety initiatives within a healthcare environment, including the ability to identify issues, analyse data, implement solutions, and evaluate outcomes.
* Extensive knowledge of clinical governance systems and the ability to apply this knowledge to Tasmanian population screening and/or the diagnostic breast imaging environment, including the organisational quality and safety frameworks within which it operates.
* Current Driver's Licence

Details of appointment

Fixed term full time, day worker position, working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible until 30 June 2028.

* Notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.

Salary

$132,460 to $139,392 per annum. Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

Salary Packaging

Salary Packaging You'll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.

Eligibility

Applicants should note the following criteria are desirable:

* Tertiary qualifications in a health‐related discipline.
* Significant recent experience in complex healthcare settings and demonstrated expertise in clinical governance, accreditation, patient safety, clinical risk management, quality improvement, and complaints management.
* Current Driver's Licence
