We are seeking an experienced Crushing Supervisor with S26 credentials to lead daily production activities across our mobile crushing and screening operation. This role requires a highly skilled operator with strong leadership capability, deep knowledge of Metso equipment, and the ability to drive safe, efficient, and compliant production of MRWA‐spec aggregates.
You will oversee a small team of operators, servicemen, and fitters, ensuring the crushing spread runs at optimal performance while maintaining strict safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Supervise day‐to‐day crushing and screening operations, ensuring safe and efficient production.
* Lead and coordinate a multi‐skilled team including Operators, Servicemen, and Fitters.
* Operate and oversee Metso mobile crushing equipment:
o Metso LT106 Jaw Crusher
o Metso Cone Crushers (LT220D or similar)
o Metso Triple Deck Screeners (ST4.10 or similar)
* Ensure production meets MRWA aggregate specifications, including daily testing and quality control.
* Conduct daily pre‐starts, inspections, hazard identification, and safety leadership activities.
* Assist with troubleshooting, breakdown response, and coordination of maintenance tasks.
* Support the Crushing Fitter with planning and scheduling of maintenance activities.
* Manage stockpiles, feed control, and material flow to maintain consistent throughput.
* Provide training, mentoring, and competency development for operators.
* Maintain accurate production records, shift reports, and safety documentation.
* Uphold site standards for housekeeping, environmental compliance, and dust control.
Skills & Experience Required
* Extensive experience in mobile crushing operations, ideally with Metso equipment.
* Strong understanding of:
o Jaw, cone, VSI, and screening processes
o Material flow, throughput optimisation, and plant efficiency
o MRWA aggregate specifications and testing requirements
* Proven leadership experience supervising small operational teams.
* Ability to diagnose operational issues and support mechanical troubleshooting.
* Loader (Cat Payload experience highly regarded)
* Excavator
* ADT
* Water Cart
* Strong safety leadership with the ability to enforce standards and coach personnel.
Mandatory Requirements
* S26 Supervisor credentials (WA Mines Safety & Inspection Regulations)
* Full working rights in Australia
* Ability to pass a pre‐employment medical and drug & alcohol screening
* Experience working in remote FIFO or DIDO environments
* High level of physical fitness and ability to work in hot, dusty conditions
* Experience with Metso Metrics or telematics systems
* Strong communication, reporting, and organisational skills
* Ability to mentor operators and support competency development
* Proactive, solutions‐focused mindset with strong attention to detail
