Overview
The Royal Hobart Hospital is a tertiary hospital in southern Tasmania, serving a population of 300,000. The Aged Care Department has four Advanced Trainee positions (12‐24 months) suitable for core training in Geriatrics or non‐core training in General Medicine, Rehabilitation Medicine, Palliative Care, or Emergency Medicine.
Duties
* Day‐to‐day management of private and public inpatients and outpatients.
* Provide after‐hours emergency cover at the hospital as required.
Salary
$138,978 - $194,675 per annum
Salary range is in accordance with the Medical Practitioners Agreement 2025

Period of Employment
Fixed term, full time day work, working 76 hours per fortnight (+10 hours protected training time per fortnight, pro rata), commencing 1 February 2027 until 7 February 2028 (24 months negotiable). Part time hours may be considered.
Requirements
* General or limited registration with the Medical Board of Australia.
* Current Tasmanian Working with Children Registration (where applicable).
