About The Opportunity
We are continuing to grow our footprint across Far North Queensland, driven by strong investment in transport and water infrastructure across the region. As part of this growth, we are interested in speaking with Project Engineers to support the delivery of key highways and water infrastructure projects. These are key roles in coordinating on-site engineering functions, ensuring works are delivered safely, on time, and within budget, while supporting our expanding pipeline of work across FNQ.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
* Support the delivery of on-site engineering functions, working closely with site engineers, supervisors, and project teams
* Obtain and interpret design information for incorporation into construction activities
* Monitor quality and quantities of incoming equipment and materials, ensuring works align with drawings, specifications, and site conditions
* Assist in coordinating engineering activities to meet programme requirements and project objectives
* Support cost control, forecasting, and reporting to ensure works are delivered within budget
* Contribute to planning future requirements including plant, equipment, and labour
* Liaise with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers to support successful project delivery
* Maintain accurate records of works completed, costs incurred, and progress
Key Requirements
* A bachelor's degree in engineering
* 4–8 years' postgraduate experience, ideally within a principal contractor environment
* Experience on infrastructure projects, ideally within highways, water, or pipeline construction
* Strong understanding of project delivery, including planning, cost, and quality management
* Ability to support and collaborate within a high-performing project team
* Demonstrated commitment to health, safety, and environmental standards
