About the Role
As a Hospital and Medical claims Assessor, you will play a critical role in our Hospital and Medical team, guiding both members and providers through the claims process. You will be responsible for proactively managing a diverse range of hospital and medical claims, as well as assisting members with product and claim enquiries.
The responsibilities of this role include but are not limited to:
* Provide high quality customer service and effective communications to both internal and external stakeholders
* Proactively manage a diverse range of hospital and medical claims
* Gather and interpret relevant information for effective claims processing and management.
* Review and pay claims in accordance with Fund Rules and policies
* Action reports and perform quality review processes as required.
* This is a full-time position.
What we are looking for
* Ideally you will come from a similar role within private health insurance or strong customer service background in insurance or health related fields.
* An equivalent combination of professional training and experience indicating possession of the preceding knowledge, skills, and abilities.
* Exceptional communication skills in a high-volume work environment.
* High attention to detail
* Skills to work as part of a team and autonomously.
* If you are from Swan Hill or Broken Hill, the ability to travel to Mildura for ongoing training.
