Banovich Pharmacy is seeking a qualified Naturopath to join our healthcare team in South Fremantle, WA 6162. This is a part-time position (including Saturday) that offers the flexibility to integrate natural medicine practices with our pharmacy's commitment to the community's health and wellness.
As a Naturopath, you will play a vital role in providing evidence-based natural health solutions to our patients, working collaboratively with our pharmacy team to support optimal health outcomes and strengthen our reputation as a trusted health destination.
Responsibilities
* Conduct comprehensive health assessments and consultations with patients to understand their health concerns, medical history and wellness goals
* Develop personalised treatment plans using natural therapeutic approaches, herbal medicine, nutritional supplementation and lifestyle recommendations
* Provide evidence-based advice on natural health products, dietary supplements and herbal remedies available through the pharmacy
* Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including consultation notes, treatment plans and follow-up care recommendations
* Collaborate with pharmacy staff and other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated and safe patient care
* Stay current with naturopathic research, herbal medicine developments and industry best practice standards
* Educate patients on preventative health measures, nutrition and natural wellness strategies
* Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed to ensure therapeutic goals are achieved
* Maintain compliance with all relevant health regulations, professional codes of conduct and pharmacy standards
* Maintain the presentation of the natural health and vitamin department within the store
Qualifications
* Current registration or accreditation with a recognised naturopathic body in Australia, such as AIMA, ANTA or equivalent professional organisation
* Completed formal qualification in naturopathy from an accredited educational institution
* Strong knowledge of herbal medicine, nutritional biochemistry, botanical pharmacology and natural therapeutic approaches
* Demonstrated ability to conduct thorough patient consultations and develop effective treatment plans
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to educate patients and explain natural health concepts clearly
* Sound understanding of relevant healthcare regulations, privacy legislation and professional ethics
* Ability to work collaboratively within a pharmacy team environment
* Strong organisational skills and attention to detail in record-keeping and patient management
* Commitment to continuing professional development and staying current with evidence-based naturopathic practice
* Previous experience in a pharmacy, clinic or healthcare setting is highly desirable
* First Aid certification or willingness to obtain certification
