The Mackay Hospital & Health Service is a contemporary organisation providing extensive health services across a broad regional, community and rural region, supporting a population of around 182,000 people. Our region spans Sarina in the south, Clermont in the west, and Bowen and the Whitsunday Islands in the north‑east, covering approximately 90,000 km². The MHHS operates six hospitals, two multi‑purpose health services and four community health centres, employing more than 3,700 staff. Your opportunity
The Director of Rural Medical Services is accountable for leading, directing, implementing, planning and evaluating the delivery of medical services across all rural facilities within the Mackay Hospital and Health Service, maintaining the highest professional and ethical standards.
Remuneration and Benefits
Remuneration value up to $243,070 (L27) p.a., comprising salary between $166,414 p.a. and $243,070 p.a., employer superannuation contribution (up to 12.75%), annual leave loading (17.5%), motor vehicle allowance, professional development allowance, professional development leave (3.6 weeks p.a.), professional indemnity cover, attraction and retention incentive allowance, employee assistance and peer support programs (EAP), and access to Fitness Passport (conditions apply).
VPD Requirements
Vaccination against vaccine‑preventable diseases listed on the Role Description is a condition of employment for this role.
