HR Manager - Regional Queensland Council
The Opportunity
A Regional Queensland Council is seeking a tertiary qualified and experienced HR Manager to provide strategic and operational leadership across all Human Resources functions. Reporting directly to the CEO, this key executive position will oversee a capable HR and Payroll team, ensuring excellence in service delivery, compliance, and workforce capability development.
This is a broad and influential leadership opportunity that offers both strategic depth and operational variety. You will shape organisational culture, lead workforce planning and development, and support executive decision-making through high-level people strategy, industrial relations, and organisational design.

About You
You are a senior HR professional with proven experience at a strategic level, ideally within Local Government or a complex, multi-disciplinary organisation. You bring strong business acumen, excellent communication and influencing skills, and a collaborative leadership style that inspires confidence and performance.
You will bring:
* Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, or a related discipline
* Demonstrated experience leading an HR function at a senior or executive level
* Proven ability to develop and implement HR strategies aligned to organisational goals
* Experience overseeing Payroll operations and compliance
* Exceptional interpersonal and stakeholder management skills
* Strategic thinking with a hands-on approach to operational delivery
