About the role
Become part of the vibrant culinary team at Script Group's flagship restaurant in Clayton. Located on Monash University campus, Script Group provides catering Services to the Jazz Club and restaurant and Bar "The Counts" Script. Catering includes Monday to Friday cafe service, functions, events and groups. You will be responsible for crafting exceptional dining experiences and joining out talented kitchen team. This is a full-time role based at our restaurant in Clayton.
What you'll be doing
1. Preparing and cooking high-quality dishes to our exacting standards
2. Maintaining a clean, organised and efficient kitchen workplace
3. Ensuring all food handling and safety protocols are consistently followed
4. Overseeing and training kitchen staff to uphold our culinary excellence
5. Collaborating with the restaurant management team to enhance the dining experience
What we're looking for
1. Formal culinary training or equivalent experience as a Chef
2. Proven track record of delivering high-quality dishes and managing a successful kitchen operation
3. In-depth knowledge of food safety regulations and kitchen best practices
4. Strong leadership and team management skills
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with front-of-house staff
6. Reliable, Punctual, Strong work ethics
