Job Overview
If you're an experienced Plant Mechanic or Heavy Diesel Technician looking for hands‐on workshop work, predictable hours, and long‐term career security, this role delivers. We're seeking a skilled Workshop Plant Mechanic to join our Wagga Wagga team, maintaining and rebuilding a broad range of Caterpillar machinery in a modern, well‐equipped workshop environment. This is a permanent, Monday to Friday dayshift role ideal if you want to stay local, sleep in your own bed, and still work with industry‐leading equipment.
Responsibilities
* Diagnose, service, repair and rebuild CAT earthmoving and construction equipment
* Perform preventative maintenance and major overhauls in a workshop setting
* Use OEM diagnostic tools and systems to identify faults efficiently
* Maintain high safety, quality and housekeeping standards
* Work alongside a supportive, highly experienced workshop team
Qualifications
* Trade qualified Plant Mechanic / Heavy Diesel Mechanic (Cert III or equivalent)
* Experience working on mobile plant or heavy equipment
* CAT or other OEM experience highly regarded
* Strong fault‐finding and diagnostic skills
* Australian recognised trade certificate & transcripts
* Current Australian drivers licence
* Team‐focused attitude with pride in quality workmanship
