Our client is a well-established Australian manufacturer supplying critical products into the construction, infrastructure and industrial sectors. Operating a large-scale manufacturing facility in the Illawarra, they are seeking a Mechanical Reliability Engineer to play a key role in improving plant performance, asset reliability and operational efficiency.
Reporting to the Asset Manager, you will work closely with operations and maintenance teams to identify reliability improvements, reduce downtime, optimise maintenance strategies and support the delivery of CAPEX and continuous improvement projects.
Key Responsibilities
* Drive improvements in plant reliability, availability and performance
* Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) and fault-finding investigations
* Develop and optimise preventative and predictive maintenance strategies
* Support shutdown planning, major maintenance activities and commissioning
* Analyse equipment performance and identify cost-saving opportunities
* Lead and support reliability, safety and continuous improvement initiatives
* Assist with CAPEX projects from concept through to completion
About You
* Diploma OR Degree-qualified Mechanical Engineer
* Experience within manufacturing, heavy industry, mining, steel, cement, processing or similar environments
* Exposure to reliability engineering, maintenance engineering or asset management
* Experience with CMMS systems such as SAP, Maximo or similar
* Strong analytical, problem-solving and stakeholder management skills
* Must be currently living in Australia with unrestricted Australian working rights
