About the Role
The role of Senior Medical Physicist is to provide end‐to‐end technical leadership for the safe, timely, and clinically robust commissioning of a replacement Varian TrueBeam linear accelerator, all associated imaging systems, and ExacTrac Dynamic, culminating in full clinical go‐live within the agreed two‐month timeframe.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead end‐to‐end commissioning lifecycle, including acceptance testing, beam data acquisition, imaging/motion management, TPS validation, and workflow testing
* Develop and execute commissioning plans aligned with ACPSEM, TG‐142, MPPG, and vendor guidelines
* Certify clinical readiness for RT modalities (conventional RT, VMAT, IGRT, SRS/SBRT) and support go‐live and initial patient treatments
* Commission and integrate imaging systems (e.g. HyperSight, ExacTrac Dynamic) and validate interoperability across Linac, ROV, HIS, and TPS
* Establish QA baselines and implement quality assurance frameworks
* Deliver audit‐ready documentation, manage handover to the physics team, and coordinate timelines to meet the 2‐month delivery window
What We're Looking For
* Postgraduate qualification in Medical Physics
* ACPSEM ROMP Certification and/or Register
* Demonstrated experience leading Linac commissioning
* Experience with Varian Linac commissioning
