Transport Modeller
Based in Sydney, you will deliver high‐quality transport modelling services, developing, testing, and applying models that support informed decision‐making for a wide range of projects.
As a Transport Modeller, you will play a key role in producing and delivering robust modelling outcomes that meet both client expectations and technical standards. You'll collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders to ensure timely, coordinated, and high‐quality project delivery while contributing to the commercial success of the team.
Key Accountabilities
* Deliver transport modelling tasks to industry‐leading technical standards
* Develop, calibrate, and apply transport models to support project outcomes
* Collaborate with internal teams, clients, and stakeholders to ensure seamless delivery
* Manage scope, risks, and timelines across multiple projects
* Prepare high‐quality technical reports and proposals
* Present findings to clients, committees, and public forums
About You
You are a proactive and analytical professional who thrives in a dynamic project environment. You bring a strong technical foundation along with the ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and effectively.
Suitability Criteria
* Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, Planning, or related discipline
* 3+ years of experience in transport modelling
* Proven ability to independently deliver technical tasks across small to medium projects
* Solid understanding of transport modelling theory and methodologies
* Experience with modelling software such as TRIPS, Voyager, EMME, Visum, SATURN, and TransCAD
* Micro‐simulation modelling experience (e.g. VISSIM, Paramics, Aimsun)
* Intersection modelling and analysis using SIDRA
* Strong quantitative analysis and data handling capabilities
* Strong project management and time management skills
* Experience managing client relationships and expectations
