Remuneration
Package valued up to $182,461 + incentives (where applicable). Base salary ranges from $101,122 – $160,983 plus leave loading and the employer's contribution to superannuation. Salary rates above the minimum are available depending on professional experience.

About the Role
Part‐time: 0.2 FTE. School psychologists work in primary and high schools to provide counselling and psychological assessment to students, strengthen teacher efforts for learning and wellbeing, and support families in understanding and managing children's mental health needs.
* Provide individual and group counselling and appropriate short‐term therapeutic interventions within the constraints of training, experience, and supervision.
* Engage with and implement the Professional Practice Framework for the NSW School Counselling Service.
* Consult with the principal, executive, staff, and student support services to improve learning and wellbeing outcomes and implement departmental priorities.
* Support students with complex behavioural needs and contribute to their social, emotional, and academic development.
* Administer cognitive, social, emotional, and behavioural assessments, report on findings, and collaborate to improve outcomes.
* Work collaboratively with learning and support teams, parents and carers, and external agencies to develop school‐based support.
* Assist schools dealing with serious incidents as part of a team.
* Refer students and/or their families to other agencies to support development of health and wellbeing outcomes.
Essential Requirements
* Knowledge and commitment to the Department's Aboriginal Education Policy, Partnership Agreement with the NSW AECG Inc., and the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Strategy.
* General or provisional psychology registration with the Psychology Board of Australia.
* Valid Working with Children Check (WWCC) clearance – NSW.
* Current and valid driver's licence with ability and willingness to travel between work sites.
* Australian citizenship or permanent residency.
