Corporate Affairs Lead – Brisbane, Sydney or Melbourne

About the Role

As a Corporate Affairs Lead you will shape and deliver Australian Retirement Trust’s (ART) external communication strategy, supporting the development of ART’s corporate identity and reputation across media, corporate channels, and stakeholder communications. You will collaborate to deliver high‑impact content, manage media relationships, support executive visibility, and contribute to ART’s positioning as a leading voice in the superannuation sector.

Day‑to‑Day Responsibilities

- Develop and deliver communication strategies aligned with ART’s purpose and values.
- Create compelling content: speeches, presentations, articles, and high‑level correspondence.
- Prepare executive communications for events, conferences, and panels.
- Manage daily media activities: enquiries, spokesperson preparation, and media engagements.
- Build strong relationships with journalists and media outlets.
- Identify and mitigate potential media or brand issues.
- Simplify complex financial topics for diverse audiences.
- Support responses to escalated member enquiries.
- Produce investment‑related content such as updates, regulatory summaries, and sustainability reports (as required).

About You

- Degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Investments, or equivalent.
- Experience in corporate communications, media relations, or public affairs.
- Solid journalistic, storytelling, and copywriting skills.
- Proven experience in long‑form writing and executive communications.
- Experience working with senior leaders and managing reputational issues.
