We are looking for an experienced Floor Layer to join our commercial team in WA. The primary focus of this role is vinyl sheet installation across commercial and residential projects, with the ability to install timber, carpet, carpet tiles, and carry out floor preparation works as required.
What you'll be doing:
* Install vinyl sheet flooring including heat welding, trimming, scribing, and finishing to Australian Standard specifications
* Prepare subfloors including grinding, levelling, applying compounds, moisture barriers, and primers
* Conduct moisture testing in accordance with AS 1884
* Install timber/engineered timber, broadloom carpet, and carpet tiles as required
* Read and interpret architectural drawings, plans, and seam/pattern layouts
* Install transitions, trims, and edge details to a professional finish
* Coordinate with Site Supervisors and other trades to ensure smooth project delivery
* Maintain accurate digital records and photographic documentation at each stage of installation
What we're looking for:
* Minimum 3 years' experience in vinyl sheet installation
* Certificate III in Flooring Technology (MSF30818) or equivalent trade experience
* Current White Card
* Competency in moisture testing to Australian Standards
* Ability to read architectural drawings and specifications
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
Nice to have:
* Experience in carpet, carpet tiles, or timber flooring
* Experience on commercial construction sites
